Embroidery is for everyone!

Embroidery is such an inclusive art form—it creates space for anyone who wants to be near it, and it can tell any story that is important to you. Each stitch tells a story. Every single pull of thread is crucial to clearly see the full picture. Handmade things matter. Creating matters. This is a space for all levels of experience and ability.

Hey! I’m Virginia & I’m an embroiderer from Atlanta, GA!

V. Hand Stitching began in 2022 while I worked my first job out of college and realized that I needed a way to be creative and connect with my community, having just moved back to Georgia. V. began with me hand embroidering tote bags–a love letter to my years working towards an art degree in New York City–and selling them at local handmade markets. 

After a few of my Taylor Swift Jacket creation videos took off, I found a special place on the internet for people who love to love things and love to make things. Swifties who love to embroider. Readers who love to make. People who just want to connect and be creative together.

V. later grew into a full-time business where I am able to sell my work, as well as connect with people through embroidery events & workshops. Not to brag, but it’s the best job in the world.
